Two medleys, two sides
The front and back covers allow the album to be identified as Memories of Mexico, Interpreted by Marfil and released by Perfil, the album's repertoire is organized into two extended medleys instead of presenting each title as a separate track: Side A features fourteen songs and Side B fifteen. This reflects the printed structure of the LP, which includes titles such as "Grítenme piedras del campo" (Shout to Me, Stones of the Field), "La que se fue" (The One Who Left), "El preso número nueve" (Prisoner Number Nine), "El jinete" (The Rider), "La Adelita," "Fallaste corazón" (You Failed, My Heart), "Así se quiere en Jalisco" (That's How We Love in Jalisco), and "Allá en el rancho grande" (Out There on the Big Ranch). The liner notes retain the titles in the order of each side, without treating the medleys as separate singles.
The selection is advertised as musical medleys of Mexico and features titles associated with the Mexican ranchera and popular music repertoire. References to well-known songs appear across both sides, such as "La cama de piedra," "De un mundo raro," "Cuatro caminos," "Malagueña," "Pénjamo," "Mi chorro de voz," and "Jarabe tapatío." This variety explains why the description distinguishes the format as a medley and does not simply present it as a collection of complete tracks. The catalog number printed on the back cover is 55871; manufacturing and distribution are attributed to Divucsa, Barcelona.
The copy is offered as mint, with the original seal intact. The packaging prevents verification of the audio content, so it is not claimed that it has been played.
