Description

Music for Young Carriages, Vol. 8 – RCA compilation

Volume 8 of Music for young floats This is an RCA compilation LP featuring ten songs performed in their original versions, as indicated on the cover. The edition is dated 1981 on this record and combines international pop and light music. The pink cover identifies each singer or group by name alongside their song; therefore, the repertoire is presented as a selection from various artists rather than a solo album.

Side A opens with "Everybody's Talkin'" by Nilsson and "In the Year 2525" by Zager & Evans. These are followed by "M'hanno detto che" by Riccardo del Turco, "La chevecha" by Palito Ortega, and "La lontananza" by Domenico Modugno. Side B begins with "Limón limonero" by Henry Stephen and "Los días del arco iris" by Nicola Di Bari; it is completed by "Remember Diana" by Paul Anka, "C'era un ragazzo che come me amava i Beatles ei Rolling Stones" by Gianni Morandi, and "Aleluya" by LE Aute. The spelling and order follow the songs printed on the two covers; the spelling "La chevecha" as it appears on the copy is retained.

The collection alternates songs in English, Italian, and Spanish, and features artists whose names are credited on the cover. It also advertises "original versions," a useful distinction for differentiating this selection of later albums from covers or adaptations. The front design highlights the number 8, the RCA label, the names of the artists and songs, and the phrases "Special Price" and "As Seen on TV." The back cover lists the track listings with performers and durations, along with information about the collection. The series Music for young floats It appears on the Spanish album chart published by Billboard in April 1981; that reference places the series in its time, although it does not by itself identify the publication date of this particular volume.

As it is a compilation, no main biography is given to a single artist. The entry retains the credits printed on the cover and links to the Historical data from the Spanish album charts published in Billboard in 1981. You can also find the volumes 6 y 7 available in the collection.
