The selection alternates romantic ballads with adaptations of well-known melodies: "Ode to Joy," "Ode to Love," and "Paris Burns (Pars en colère)." It also includes "El cant dels ocells," whose Catalan title appears on the back cover. The track listing is arranged on two sides of five songs each.

The interpreter

Mireille Mathieu was born in Avignon and rose to fame in France after appearing on television on November 21, 1965. Her official biography recounts how that first television appearance preceded an international career. Mathieu has sung before audiences in numerous countries and has maintained a career focused on vocal performance and melodic repertoire. Spell, That voice is presented in Spanish and Catalan versions, in a repertoire that combines romantic songs with widely popular melodies. The album allows us to observe this particular facet of her discography through the ten tracks printed on this Spanish edition. This copy retains its original seal; it has not been opened to test the disc playback.
